A woman needs ropes and ropes of pearls.

-Coco Chanel

This little one is just so sweet and full of personality. She was just so animated for her session and love all of her different expressions. I love that her Mama got in at least one photo, too! Love all of this sweetness and her pearls, and that she brought her pretty pink blanket. Just precious.

According to Mom…

What are your little one’s favorite toys? Bouncy seat, blocks, rattles, anything music related or that she can put in her mouth! She’s teething:)

Is your little one talking? Any favorite words? “Baba” is what she says the most. We swear she’s saying “baba” when she wants a bottle!

Does she have any favorite foods? Sweet potatoes, blueberry baby yogurt, and of course, her bottles!

What is your favorite part of this stage/milestone? Her interest in the dogs, trying to talk and figuring our how to put toys together

What are your favorite places to shop for your little one? Old Navy, Amazon Prime!

Baby toys/gear you can’t live without? Sofie the giraffe and her bouncy seat

Soda Shoppe

Raleigh Valentines Mini Session Photography

Little Apple Styles and I team up for a lot of fun styled mini sessions, and this weekend we have one spot left for our 2018 Limited Edition Valentine’s Day Minis. We are super excited about the Soda Shoppe theme! This is something that Ericka and I have talked about for forever and were thrilled when we could finally make it happen. And we just loooooove the soda shoppe. The owners collect antiques so everything is just beautiful and love, love, love. Ericka and I always love adding some vintage to our mini sessions. (And you know I’m a huge fan of Suzanna’s Antiques) Plus, who can resist a strawberry milkshake with whipped cream and a cherry on top? I took Harrison there a few weekends ago, and of course, he loved it. I may or may not have tried the milkshake, it was delish! We only have one spot left, so if you are interested in the spot, send us an e-mail as soon as possible (becky@rebeccakellerphotography.com) or you can fill out the contact form here. What do our mini sessions include? Wardrobe advice from Ericka, a styled unique location and props, skin smoothing if needed, teeth whitening if needed, and most of all, FUN!

We have also started planning our Spring minis and have a few spots left – Mommy and Me Minis, Spring Family Minis and Coastal Minis. We also have a super special just the kids/family mini planned in June this year, which is the first time we are doing a June mini! Contact us for more information before these sell out.

Sweet Carolina Photo Bus

Raleigh VW Bus Photography

Raleigh VW Bus Photography4.jpgP I N this to pinterest   Fall is always so crazy busy and I spend most of spring playing catch up on the blog. But there is so much cuteness to share, I just can’t not blog them! I’m trying so hard to get caught up.  Our VWBus minis were just so much fun this year at Boyce Farms, and these two cuties are just so adorable together. They loved the bus, and we captured soooo much adorableness of the two of them. This was our first time working with Sue of Sweet Carolina Photo Bus, and we loved her immediately! Ericka, Sue, and I shared a lot of laughs, tears, and spent a lot of time problem solving together during the holiday season. It’s safe to say we are all BFFs now. I first saw Sue’s bus in the Lafayette Village parking lot one day and immediately texted Ericka with a photo. (This is really how most of our photo shoots happen. One of us is out driving somewhere and we have to stop the car and text the other one. Every once in a while Ericka and I are out together, and we are like STOP, we have to get a photo!) I just love the Sally Clarkson quote, “It was a profound realization when I understood that I could become an artist with my very life.” (on my instagram today) Ericka and I really have a lot of fun together creating these sets, analyzing teeny tiny details, showing up early, problem solving, getting messy, carrying around huge props all over the place. All of it put together is just FUN. (I should be getting ready for a meeting Ericka and I have later today about Valentine’s Minis but instead I’m sitting here typing!! Eeek!! One spot left for Valentine’s Minis – send me an email if you want it! becky@rebeccakellerphotography.com) We are so very thankful for Boyce Farms letting us use their property, and we bought some of their beautiful wreaths, too! Ok, I gotta finish this up, time to meet up at the Soda Shoppe and plan another super fun mini!

Friday Faves

I’m still watching When Calls The Heart on netflix and I’m almost through with season four. I’m going to be super sad when it’s over. There are more seasons coming, right? I was a super big Janette Oke  reader growing up.

I love some Carrot Cake and these look perfect.

We finally went to see The Last Jedi this week, and oooh, I loved it. Before the movie, Owen asked for a 5.00 toy at Target and we talked about choosing experiences over things and how we were going to a movie. After the movie, he said it was way better than getting a small toy. Just warmed my heart.

It was time to get new glasses because yay, January, insurance starts over. Yes, I did get aviator prescription glasses, and I loooove them. They are so much fun. You can see a pic on my instagram stories.

If you like to look at different brands and fonts, this is a super inspiring instagram account.

You probably know that I’m reading and loving Be the Gift  by Ann Voskamp. Just loved page 11 so much..”What if the truth really is that every tremor of kindness here erupts in a miracle elsewhere in the world?”

My little ones have loved cooking with me in the kitchen and I’ve been looking at aprons. These chambray aprons are just so adorable, (they come with pink or navy ribbon)  and of course, I love the star wars!

These have been my favorite pens  lately + they are perfect for writing in my GraceLacedbook.

Oh so adorable personalized football Valentine jammies

If you follow me on instagram, you will notice that I just got into instagram stories this week. It’s a great source of entertainment for me during carpool. Love it.

We made Pan Banging chocolate chip cookies this week, and this is my favorite recipe ever! So yummy! (Find the recipe here) Banging the pan was kind of fun, too.

Their Mommy + me selection is super cute. I want the I’m not working today set – ha!

This winter harvest hummus bowl looks so super yummy. And I’m seriously hungry now.

Pan Banging Cookies

Raleigh Newborn Photography

So I really love baking. Like love it, love it. I may not be the most amazing cook, but baking is something that is therapeutic to me. It’s also super fun because my kids love getting involved with baking. (Who doesn’t right?) I had to share this recipe that we tried yesterday because it was AMAZING. The salt, the kind of chocolate, just all kinds of amazingness. What is so intense about these chocolate chip cookies is that they are crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside. There is a little bit more work to make this happen and you can find all of the details and the recipe here. Make sure you read the entire instructions because 1. The freezer is an important step not to skip.  2.What kind of chocolate you use is very important. 3. Which side of the foil you use is another thing. (Basically all this to say read allll of the instructions ahead of time so you are prepared)

I do not have a big freezer so luckily I have a few small cookie pans. These are very big cookies (but oh so yummy!) so I could only put 2-4 on a pan. (I had to use super small pans because I have a side by side freezer) I just read my book while I waited for them to cook or waiting every two minutes to bang the pan. Banging the pan is the fun part. You pick up one side in the oven and then let it crash down so that the center of the cookie deflates.  (After cooking ten minutes, then you start the pan banging every two minutes) If you make these, let me know what you think of the deliciousness!
