North Carolina Lifestyle Beach Photographer - 2014 Coastal Sessions

So excited to announce the dates for the 2014 Coastal Sessions at Holden Beach! I love the beautiful images and special memories that you can capture at the coast. It’s also fun for little ones to splash in the ocean and play in the sand. When booking a session in full sun on the beach, the best time of day is going to be either sunrise or sunset. (See an example of a sunrise session here - this was a travel session (yes I offer travel sessions - contact me for pricing) so not at Holden Beach where the Coastal Sessions will be and a sunset session here at Holden Beach. Both of these sessions were just soooo much fun! We laughed and laughed - what great memories for the whole family.) I only photograph in the best light of day and if I had to pick a favorite it would be sunset. Although getting up super early and heading to the beach can be fun, too! These will go very quickly so if you are interested - contact me as soon as possible!

2013 Image of the Year - Raleigh Family Photographer

Round one of the Rebecca Keller Photography 2013 Image of the Year.

There are 26 entries and you can view all of them in this gallery. (Votes only count on the blog - likes and comments on facebook are awesome but do not count towards voting.)

Voting for Round 1 will end on Tuesday, January 28th at Midnight and there will be 6 finalists - five chosen by popular vote and one chosen by a panel of professional photographers. Each finalist will receive a $50.00 credit towards a 2014 session. (Credit will expire 12/31/2014 and you must book according to the photographer’s schedule.)

On Wednesday, January 29th Round 2 voting will start and there will be two winners of the 2013 Image of the Year.

Both of the two final winners will receive a FREE family session in 2014 + digital files (some restrictions apply)

Voting only counts on the blog (not on facebook) and you can only vote one time each day. Those caught violating the rules will be removed from the contest. The photographer can change the rules/prizes at any time and there is no purchase necessary to enter the contest.

Cozy Morning at Home - Raleigh North Carolina Newborn Photography

I’m a little bit behind on blogging - such a busy month of shooting/editing. Just had to stop for a minute in between editing to share this cozy newborn session at home with this sweet family. I love how Mom wanted to capture a lot of their everyday things - playing legos, coloring, etc. and also the excitement of their 6 week baby brother. This mama is also an awesome decorator - the nursery and the whole house was decorated so beautifully - everywhere you turned in their house there was so much inspiration - she is definitely talented. Love that we captured all of these sweet memories at home (you know newborn sessions at home are my favorite!) Things are starting to wind down for me as my belly is getting bigger and bigger, and I am a little sad that I will have to stop shooting for a while. Except you know, super excited about our little miracle and please forgive me already for taking and sharing 3,000 photos of him when he arrives. And, Owen, wow, I had to make him a little album of ultrasound photos to carry around the house with him because he was dragging the big pile of photos everywhere showing his baby brother all of his toys, etc - so incredibly sweet. He told everyone at preschool Monday that he’s getting a baby after Christmas - just melts my heart. Ok, enough rambling or I’m going to start bawling..just so incredibly excited!

Sun & Flowers - Raleigh Mommy and Me Sunset Portraits

Remember this sweet family? Can’t believe their little one is already four months! He is just so happy, full of smiles, and loves being snuggled by his mommy. All you have to do is talk to him and he smiles right away. I just love the portraits of these two - those first months are just so special. I couldn’t believe it when I found this location (so gorgeous!) And, wow, it is stunning at sunset. I’ve photographed one more session here, not sure how long the flowers will be blooming, but if you are thinking of booking a weekday sunset session, this spot would be perfect. Sun + flowers is my absolute favorite - just love the images from this session.

Best Buddies - Raleigh Newborn Baby Photographer

Wow. I LOVE newborn sessions at home. A lot of the stress of having to get ready to go somewhere is taken out of the session, the little ones eat when they need to, and they are so happy in their environment. This little one was just 4 weeks old and he slept a little bit but was mostly bright eyed and alert for his family portraits in Raleigh. We were able to capture some of the sweetest moments of him with his family. And his big brother - just wow. (okay. I am saying wow alot, but really, this session was just so sweet) Everytime I tried to take a portrait of mr. man by himself, big brother just had to kiss him and be right next to him. ADORABLE. There are so many sweet photos of them together and I know they are going to be best buddies. Alex absolutely loves his little brother and had to be next to him every second. We took family portraits inside first and then headed outside to catch the last few minutes of my favorite light - sunset. It was a gorgeous evening and such a sweet newborn session.
