This week’s theme – Still LifeP I N this to pinterest

Taking a still life with a toddler and little puppy around is almost impossible. I love this picture because Charlie, our little maltese is in the background and the puppy toy is being pulled by Owen. The pots are still but the background is definitely not. The pots are our Mother’s Day gift for Owen’s grandmothers and great grandmothers.

I didn’t get too many pictures of this project. Painting with a toddler is pretty funny. He was covered in paint in about two seconds and so was I! I just kept laughing and then he would laugh and he just kept on painting. The pots turned out really cute, and I’m super excited to give them to the grandmothers.

This sweet family is waiting to find out if they are having a boy or a girl! Only a few more weeks left and Noah will find out if he is going to have a little brother or sister. This session was at Pullen Park, and the light was just beautiful. Noah just loved the boats and the carousel. It is such fun place, and we ended our session with a locopop from Pullen Place.

So I have to admit, I have not taken as many pictures the last two weeks as I wanted to. We even took a trip to Ohio and my camera stayed in my bag the whole time!

To celebrate Owen’s buddy Christopher’s second birthday, we took the boys to Ox and Rabbit Soda and Sundries in Durham. Not only can you get an old fashioned egg cream but the shop it just too cute and packed with gifts for the home and little ones. The boys weren’t quite big enough to reach the counter yet but they still enjoyed their treat!

It always melts my heart the way Owen just loves his daddy. When he wakes up in the morning, he’s asking for his daddy. If he hears a song that Michael sings to him, he starts screaming, “Oh, daddy!” If the garage door opens, he runs to the back door just screaming. Lately, at nap time, I ask him which book he wants to read and he always picks up My Daddy and Me. So sweet and he loves reading it before going to sleep. Remember bear? He loves reading it, too.

One of my goals for April was to make some fun food for Owen. He loved this ice cream grilled cheese, and I thought it was just too cute.(Find out how to make it here. See more examples of food we made here and here.)

I am really excited about May – it’s a month of celebrations. In only a week, it will be my birthday and then at the end of the month is the first anniversary of the business. I started Rebecca Keller Photography in May of 2011. It has been such a great year – I have learned so much and I have met so many great new friends. Still trying to think of a great way to celebrate the first year. I’m also working on two big projects this month – so one of my goals is to finish those projects.

Goals for May:

* Take Owen to the Museum of Life and Science

* Finish the two new projects I’m working on

* Continue to work on framing/hanging pictures in my house.

* Finish planning something for Owen’s 2nd birthday. (yes, he will be two in June)
