Little Claire is just beautiful and so loved. I know her big brothers are going to take such good care of her. They love her so much and wanted to kiss and hug her and show her off while I was there. Little Claire was just so content and happy during the session. Such a beautiful baby!

This week’s theme – Things that Grow.  P I N this to pinterest

If you have been to my house, you know that I have a really small yard. Super small and yet I have a love of gardening. I admit, I have not planted like I used to since Owen was born. The image above is the view from my screened in porch – the porch screen is the texture on the image. These climbing roses were planted about four years ago and have grown so much.  I love them but I wished they bloomed a little bit longer.

These are called Belinda’s Dream and I ordered them a few years ago from Witherspoon Rose Culture. I absolutely love them – they are beautiful in vases.

The best thing about my Irises is that they are reblooming. They bloom in the spring and the fall. I ordered these online from Schreiner’s Iris Gardens. The one on the left is Queen Dorothy, which is my grandmother’s name. She also had a love of gardening. The iris on the right is called Immortality.

Last week’s theme was Sacrifice. I am sorry I am a little late in posting – it has been a very busy few weeks. So you might see two 52 week project posts this week. To celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus, we made Resurrection Rolls. You can find the recipe here.P I N this to pinterest

First, we gathered our supplies together. You need marshmallows, butter, cinnamon, sugar, and crescent rolls. The marshmallow represents Jesus and his life – pure and without sin. P I N this to pinterest

Then you dip the marshmallow in butter and roll it around in the sugar and cinnamon mix. The butter represents the embalming oil and the cinnamon and sugar represents the spices.

Next, you wrap the marshmallow in a crescent roll triangle which represents the wrapping of Jesus’ body. Putting them in the oven represents putting Jesus in the tomb. P I N this to pinterest

He is not here: He has risen just as He said! Matthew 28:6.

This was such a sweet session – celebrating the little sister that will be born in just a few short weeks. We chatted about gold doubloons and picked some wildflowers. One of the things I love about this session is that we took the pictures at the end of the day near sunset.  Early in the morning and late in the evening just has the prettiest light and is the best time for pictures. Looking forward to taking pictures of their baby sister after her arrival!

Their sweet little one has arrived, and he is precious. I really just love this session – the special moments with mom and dad and their sweet son, the beautiful light, using fabric from the nursery for some pictures of Hudson. What a gift this little one is to his parents, and I love capturing these first days.P I N this to pinterestP I N this to pinterest
