The Seniorologie Shoot out in Charleston was amazing (See more here.) It was so much fun shooting, learning, and meeting other photographers. I wasn’t sure how my pregnant feet would handle shooting all day, but the day just flew by. I learned a lot from speakers Leslie Kerrigan and Courtney DeLaura, loved shooting the Ellen and Ollie clothes, and also the location was stunning. The styled shoot that they put together was just so much fun and I love all the details and thought that went into the day. (Love all of the clothes/props that they picked out!) Not only did we learn a lot, shoot a lot, but we also had yummy food and a great gift bag. Kelsie Boles also did the models hair and make up and they all looked stunning. Hoping to make it to another shoot out or the Seniorologie Tour in the future!

We had perfect weather & light the evening of his Senior portraits, and wow, the location was perfect. We discussed a few options in the Raleigh area and decided on the perfect spot. {This was my second session here (see the first here) and I’m beginning to LOVE this lake!}Don’t you just love the ones with the boat and the ones in the boathouse with the oars? Seriously can’t pick a favorite from this session. Such a sweet family and I had so much fun with his mom – it seemed like everywhere we turned was a perfect place for a few photos. He picked out his outfits which really went so well with the location and thankful for everyone who let us squeeze past them or moved for a few minutes or kept the boats out a little bit longer so that we could snap a few photos. It was such a beautiful day that there were a lot of people at the park.(See one more from this session here) Oh, and Class of 2014, if you are thinking of booking your Senior Portraits this fall, Now is the time! I’ve really enjoyed the monthly project I’ve been working on with several other photographers – this month’s theme is Perspective. Love all of the different perspectives we were able to capture at this session. Shooting in this downtown location was fun because we were able to get a variety of backgrounds in a really small space. Be sure to check out Jamie Loomis Photography’s take on this month’s theme!

Be prepared – this post has a lot of pictures! Grace’s session was so much fun and we just kept finding all kinds of great backgrounds. When we were downtown, we’d barely walk two feet before we found somewhere else to stop and take pictures. Both days we ran into weddings, and we also ran in the street while the Raleigh trolley dropped off a wedding party. Grace is beautiful inside and out and she totally rocked out her senior portraits!

We had so much fun taking Abby’s senior portraits. We took some pictures out and about in downtown Wake Forest and also some pictures with her horse. I love that she wanted to include her horse and her love of reading in her session  – it made her pictures so special and unique to her.
