It was so much fun hanging out with this group of girls, and so great to meet some photographers that aren’t too far away from me and also new friends in Texas and Colorado. (you’ll have to follow the blog circle link below to meet everyone!) What a great weekend this was – we laughed and laughed, stayed up late (well, past 9pm is late for me – so it was super late!) We took a ton of photos including a maternity on the beach and also ate some AMAZING food. The weekend started off with our family photoshoot with Michele, then everyone arrived the next day. We really did cram a lot into our weekend. We got up at sunrise (only a group of photographers, right?) to see the Folly Beach Lighthouse, went to Boone Hall Plantation where we got sidetracked by wildflowers. You should see more great photos of the wildflowers and the group photos if you follow the blog circle. We ate Belgian gelato, stopped by rainbow row, did a food tour, a carriage tour, and attended a Pure Barre class. (This was my first class..so much fun to try it with friends and I was so sore I could barely walk the rest of the trip!) I am probably leaving something out, but I really had such a great time. We stayed at the Isle of Palms and did get to the beach once or twice, too!
So, onto the food. Our group wasn’t super small or really huge but since most restaurants in Charleston are tiny, it can be hard to get a reservation for a group. We did get lunch at Cru Cafe which was amazing – we showed up at different times so we were able to get a few tables. We ate some amazing sushi at Oku, and oh, my favorite place we ate was The Grocery. I got two orders of broccoli.(broccoli? YES. It was just that good) We were all stuffed we ate so much! So you may see a lot of the same photos in the blog circle so I tried not to post tooo many that would be the same. Looking forward to the next Pinkle Toes Workshop Reunion (see the last reunion here!) So glad to have made so many new friends, giggled at so many silly things, and created wayyyyyyy too many hashtags. (which you can see everyone’s instagrams from the trip #pinkletoesSC)
