I first met this family at their maternity session (see here) Such a sweet family and their little one was just so happy for her newborn portraits. I love summer and the fact that we can take a few photos outside, especially since they have a gorgeous backyard with pretty flowers. You know I love flowers in photos and I love newborn sessions at home and yes, I love every photo from this session.(Don’t you love that photos in her crib – she looks so deep in thought!)  I also love that we were able to capture some photos of the three of them. Don’t worry we got some with big sister, too (see one here) Her mama planned another session for family photos. Oh, and don’t forget to scroll down to the bottom to see the photos with her mama’s wedding dress – what a special idea. Love that we were able to capture some special memories of the first days at home with their little one. Looking forward to photographing her first year!

This was one of those newborn sessions that was just so simple and peaceful, and this little guy was just so content to be snuggled by his mom and dad. I love newborn sessions at home because we can go over outfits, baby is happy to be held by his mom and dad, and we can capture sweet family memories in your home. I love that we were able to photograph so many images of the three of them together. We also got a few in a special cradle that rocked his mommy, grandparents, great grandparents and so many more of his relatives. It was one of those crazy weather days we’ve had recently where it started out rainy and then everything cleared up and I love that we were able to take some in the yard with the daffodils. What a sweet session, and his mama was just glowing – just love this photo of the two of them.

Wow, has it rained a lot so far this summer. We had to reschedule a few times but finally had a day with no rain. I first met this sweet family over a year ago (See here and here)  We met in Chapel Hill and were able to capture some sweet family memories with their three children. Don’t you love the bright colors mom picked out for their session? Also, I LOVE how they brought their princess & superhero outfits and favorite books. Way too cute. This session was so much fun and I love how you can see how much fun they have together in their family portraits. I just love the images with the hydrangeas – love how we can capture so many things blooming in the summer and the arboretum is always gorgeous.

We thought it might rain/storm the evening of Kate & Daniel’s engagement portraits but the weather held and it ended up being a nice evening in Chapel Hill.They also brought their adorable puppies – Joey & Frisco. We started at the Old Well and I saw several other photoshoots while waiting for Kate & Daniel. Also, several runners stopped by to get a drink of water. Then we walked over to the arboretum for a few photos and ended our session in downtown Chapel Hill. These two are just so cute together and I love how many photos we captured of them laughing and having fun together. Kate also brought some super cute outfits for the session, and did you see her ring? Absolutely gorgeous. So excited for these two!
