Okay, I know I say it all the time but sessions at home are so much fun. I love that we are able to capture special family moments in their own backyard, with their swingset and see saw. These three little ones were just so happy and loved making each other laugh. They had their favorite stuffed animal out to entertain each other and who doesn’t have a good time playing on their own swingset and see saw. We also captured a few in the cul-de-sac in the wagon which was super cute. Oh, and the hammock – one of their favorite spots in the backyard so we had to capture a few in the hammock!

It was a sunny morning when we took Zach’s 9 Month Portraits. He was all smiles – his mommy brought some orange balloons that he just LOVED. It’s been so much fun watching him grow (see here, here & here) I really LOVE the first year. It’s such a special time, and wow, they grow so much in a year. (Click here for more information on Newborn sessions and First Year Mini Sessions) Such a sweet family and I love all of the photos with his mommy & daddy. We took these at the JC Raulston Arboretumin Raleigh – one of my favorite places. What’s blooming changes all the time and there are some really pretty spots in the arboretum. They also have all kinds of cool events at the arboretum – Leroy the Dragon was on display during our session. I turned a corner and was like whoa, a DRAGON! Looking forward to taking Zach’s one year portraits soon – he is way too cute!

A few weeks ago we celebrated Stelliana’s Petit Boutique’s One Year Anniversary. So many adorable little ones came out to walk the red carpet in their Stelliana’s clothes. Just wanted to share a few images from the event. it was beautiful and perfect weather right until 5 o’ clock. (And then it started pouring!) All day people stopped to see the cars, try all the tasty food, and shop for some beautiful clothes. Owen even stopped by to shop and dance on the red carpet. Lafayette Village is such a great place with so many wonderful shops and restaurants. (I LOVE Simply Crepes and recently just tried Paparazzi – soooo good! Um, yes & Jubala, the Savory Spice Shop..Ok, the list goes on and on.)

I have been photographing these little ones since they were just four months (and one of them since she was born. Oh, and her mama and I have been friends since we were 14) Yes – I took an image of three of them together eating cake when they turned one – so sweet. This time a new family joined the group for some updated family portraits – such a sweet family with their two little ones. All of these photos were taken in one evening at my dear friend’s house (her little one had a few portraits taken in her room that her mama decorated so beautifully) We had perfect weather and perfect light – such a beautiful evening! There was a lot of dancing, singing, and snacks to keep these little ones in happy spirits.
