    It’s no secret Ericka and I love planning and creating styled minis for our clients. And I love the simplicity Ericka designed with the apple baskets and flowers. This one was just. so. PRETTY. We were so happy to have beautiful weather both days (yay for no rain!) These just went so smoothly, I think all the little ones just thought the truck was so much fun. The hilarious part was the apples….everyone wanted a snack during the session – ha! And those images are adorable, too! These minis take a lot of work – location scouting, finding private property, getting permission, finding the truck, prop shopping, and in the end, it’s so so worth it! These came together beautifully, and I love the color palette Ericka chose for the flowers. Everything was perfect. So many more to share soon, but super excited to post a preview. From our 2016 Fall Minis

Booking for our 2017 Fall + Holiday Minis starts this Wednesday evening. We are so excited about all of our minis with Little Apple Styles! Booking will be opened up to the e-mail list first, so if you aren’t on the email list, sign up here! These go quick, and will be super cute + styled! These are a few examples from last year’s minis. Don’t miss all the cuteness for this year’s minis! Set an alarm on your phone so you remember to check your email at 8PM Wednesday.

How do our minis work? We will be sending out all dates, prices, and information in our email so you can have as much information as possible about who are minis are for (Is it a family mini or just the kids) how much it is, location area, and time. Ericka and I have been working together for a long time now, and you won’t believe how long even 5 minutes can be when photographing just the kids. You can read over all the different time/price/how many people options and decide what works for your family, budget + don’t forget, your Christmas Card. I know, I’m talking about Christmas cards in July, but how nice to go ahead and have your yearly photo planned + done, with a fun editorial image to boot. We strive to make our sessions unique, styled, and just plain fun – something we aren’t going to do for every session, but something we can plan for our minis. We spend a lot of time scouting locations, searching for props, and dreaming up ideas just for you.

Sunrise

NYC Central Park Family Photographer 

We went on an amazing crazy 1700 mile road trip for Spring Break this year (read all about it here) We crammed so much into a little bit of time..and we were supposed to be in NYC for two days, but it ended up being less than 24 hours because we had to rearrange our trip for a few things..All that being said, if I was going to take pictures in NYC, I’d definitely choose sunset, but, with being there with such little time, sunrise was our only option. And I mean, we had fifteen minutes maybe before it was too bright and covered in light. My husband loves me since he drove us the night before and slept five hours to get up at sunrise for this. He also helped me location scout something that showed the buildings but that would also work at sunrise. And lastly, of course, all his amazing sounds that make the boys crack up while I am trying to photograph them.*Husband of the year* We even picked our hotel to be close, and that worked out great. We did take a quick taxi drive there since it was a little dark, and we barely beat another photographer to the exact spot. Whhhhew. Central Park was hopping though…everyone in the city was up and working out. I really wanted an image with the skyline in the background and I love these so much of my little cuties. *Special thanks to Ericka for meeting me at Janie and Jack last minute to review wardrobe* Oh, and Harrison’s bowtie was the exact same print as Michael’s tie he wore on our wedding day, so it was must. Love it!

Baby Brother Coming Soon

Maternity Mommy Me Photography Raleigh

Our 2017 Mommy and Me Minis was the first time Ericka and I met these two, and just how sweet are they together? Our Mommy and Me Minis are 15 minutes long and we try to have fun yet move everyone through quickly so we can get as many mini images as possible. These two just had so much fun together and you can just tell the special bond they have. I know they are so excited about a baby brother coming soon! You can see more from our styled Mommy and Me Minis with Little Apple Styles here. I have only gotten to share a few of them so far!

So I had a session recently where we were discussing problems with glasses. My prescription hasn’t changed in three years, and I am not the easiest on my glasses. So, I have a few different pairs, and a pair of prescription sunglasses + then contacts. If I’m at a session, I’m usually wearing contacts because it’s just easier and they won’t fall off my face. I have a super old pair of glasses that is missing one side that goes over your ear and then I have a newish pair that are a little bit more decent for going out so I don’t usually wear these as much at home. (I am always losing my glasses in the house. I take them off to do something and then have no clue where they ended up or if someone walked off with them) So, I came up with a solution for my oldest pair that’s missing a side…a pencil. Yes – my pencil glasses. They are amazing. You just tape a pencil to the side and voila. I think I showed up at Ericka’s house once for a meeting and she was like what in the world crying. Michael still laughs at me all the time – I’m like geez, I’ve been wearing these forever…how is it still funny? Ok, so in case anyone else is in need of extra glasses laying around, the pencil, try it. I may be brave enough one day to post a picture of me in my pencil glasses. Oh, and P.S. it’s even better if your hair is up – to stick the pencil in your hair. Just sayin’.

Oh, and I’m totally that person wearing their prescription sunglasses in the store without realizing it, because, you know, I can still see! Ok, enough with the glasses talk and more of the adorableness of these two!

Mommy and Me Raleigh Styled Mini Session Photography 

Spring can be a little tricky for our Mommy and Me sessions because sometimes in April it just rains and pours. We did have to reschedule our original date, but we ended up with two gorgeous evenings for our Mommy and Me minis. I can’t wait to share so much of the cuteness from these. This year we did invite Grandmas too, and it was so sweet to be able to photograph the three generations together. This sweet little one had lots of smiles for the swing and for her Mama and Grandma. (Of course, she loves the swings! See more here)
