I have watched this little one grow from a few months to one year. (Can’t believe he’s a year old already!)As the youngest of four, he is a content little guy, happy to be held by his mommy or sleep in his stroller in the afternoons at the park. His mama is a neighbor of mine, and the neighborhood park is my BFF – what a great spot in the evenings. Sometimes we stay all the way until bedtime. The park is such a special place to us. All of Owen’s birthday’s have been at the park, of course, I have photos of him as young as seven months playing in the sandbox. We’ve spent nights out there with friends and glow sticks, the boys race on their scooters and bicycles, and of course, I’m always trying to talk them out of some of their ideas. (Taking the little car all the way to the top of the hill and riding it down the hill. Trying to climb on top of the playground equipment instead of playing in it  –  these are things that boys do at the park.) It’s a great spot for us mamas to chat at the end of the day while our little ones play.

The morning of this little one’s session was just beautiful, and we were able to capture some happy images of him & his mommy. Oh, and how cute are his curls?!?! He is adorable!

What a sweet newborn session at home this was! This little one was just so content to be held and snugged by his big sisters. This session was a lot of fun! We sang the alphabet song and watched a little bit of Blue’s Clues. Newborn sessions at home are just so special, and what a happy session this was. Babies just bring so much joy, which I just love photographing. We have our family newborn portraits from when Harrison was born printed and framed. It makes me smile everytime I see them – the memories of how thrilled Owen was to have a brother, what a treasure!

I loved that the fields are full of daisies right now  – just so pretty. We met early one morning for their Maternity Mini session. I love Maternity sessions – it’s just such a sweet time to capture the last days before meeting your little one. This was one of those days with the crazy heat, too! This mama brought a quilt that she MADE for her little one – how awesome is that!  Such a beautiful quilt, and I’m glad we were able to use it at their session.

I first met this sweet family several months ago for their Maternity portraits. It was so great to see them again, and this was such a fun 6 month family session in the Spring. (Yes, I think I’ve mentioned a couple of times, I have several sessions to blog – stay tuned to the blog for more sessions soon! ) It was so sweet to see the two little ones together, and I love that Mom brought their stuffed animals – just so cute.  I love how many happy photos we were able to capture to document six months – baby sister was just so happy and giggly. It was such a beautiful morning at the arboretum and so much fun!

This little one was my last newborn session before Harrison was born so they are only a few weeks apart in age. It’s been so fun to see her grow and change from her newborn to three month to now her six month portraits. We had to reschedule our first planned date due to the weather, and the day of our session it was gorgeous!  I love this family session – it was just so fun, and her big brother had so much fun running around and exploring. The water was his favorite and he also found a pretty interesting bug which we were not sure what it was. We photographed him here when he was just three months old! I always love the hydrangeas here in summer – they only bloom for such a short time. Such a sweet family – I look forward to photographing the rest of this little one’s first year.
