This was the first time we met this sweet family at our first ever Holiday Blue Truck Minis. Beep Beep! And they were just so sweet together. How cute is this little one? He was all smiles for Ericka + I!

Fifteen degrees. It was fifteen degrees this morning. My little one wants to be out in the snow just so badly, but at fifteen degrees, my hands just ache. And I have to laugh at my older one, who loves warmth so much, he wants to be inside building forts and watching Star Wars marathons. (which we have been doing. The force is strong with this one) We recently took the Star Wars tour at Disney, and it was so super fun. Growing up with a brother, we alternated between Anne of Green Gables + Star Wars, so having seen it so much, of course I am a fan. The boys did the hilarious photoshop thing in the Star Tours gift shop on our trip, I need to post it today. I think that it may have been the photographer’s first day because she was getting some help during the process. In the midst of that, Harrison was screaming that he wanted to take a nap. (My child loves his sleep now) I don’t remember what happened – Michael must have done something goofy, but he smiled for one second in the middle of the crazy busy gift shop. (probably his Yoda voice, Harrison’s favorite) I am thankful after the busy busy fall, I cherish the quietness of January and getting to be with my boys a lot more. And even having these snow days after our trip, to get to have some quiet time with them is a treasure. My main goal today is to make snowflake cookies with them. For some reason I have always been afraid of making cookies from scratch, like they wouldn’t hold together or it’s too many ingredients, I’m wasting money since I don’t make them a lot. (I know, all silly excuses) But these past few months, my boys have loved making cookies. And making them from scratch is so much easier than I thought and not that many ingredients. (especially since the boys want to bake a lot) By happy accident, we made our sugar cookies with lemon extract over the holidays. (I thought I bought vanilla but I bought lemon! ha!) Now my boys love lemon sugar cookies, and I actually like them better, too! It’s a memory and a treasure to have this time with them..On that note, I’m not sure when this snow is going to melt but I promised Harrison a sled ride today, so off I go!
