What to Wear Wednesday | Date Night
Article by Ericka of Little Apple Styles
This is a story about me and my closet. And how it is full of perfectly comfortable playdates, playground and carpool outfits – but not so much of a selection of cute outfits for a date night – YES, I said a date night! Mr. Little Apple and I are so busy running around with our kids activities that when is time for us, we normally choose a Netflix Movie and some microwave popcorn.
For my birthday this year (shout out to all my Aquarians out there!) Beau surprised me with dance lessons. I was really surprised for the thoughtfulness of his gift – I guess the Dancing with the Stars marathons I “make” him watch hinted him how much I love ballroom dancing. Growing up in South America you are born dancing. You dance Salsa before you crawl and you just move when a song starts. It is in your blood. You THINK you know how to dance…until your husband takes you to dance lessons and you meet your dance instructor Jordan…but that is a whole different blog post!
I wanted something Spring and happy. The dress couldn’t be too short since I was going to be twirling, and not too long because I did not want to trip and fall. I also wanted something budget friendly and since I had to pick up my preschooler in one hour – it needed to be all in one store. WELL, let’s see what I could find at Target! I think it turned out great and I will be wearing it on Easter Sunday as well. I just love how it works great with the light blue/gray color palette I chose for the kids this year — I happened to find at the same store while I stopped for detergent. Am I the only person that goes to Target for one thing and ends up with a full buggy every.single.time? I am sure I am not!
The shoes and necklace were already in my closet – The “Tara Heels” are so comfortable I can see me wearing them all summer, when I am not chasing a 3 year old of course
Dress | Clutch | Shoes | Necklace
