Wake Forest NC Newborn Photographer – Quiet Morning

It was such a joy to be able to photograph my sweet niece’s newborn portraits. It was a rainy day the morning of their portraits but big sister was super happy when I arrived and so excited to show me her baby sister. We were able to get so many sweet images and I love the one of the girls napping we were able to sneak in at the end before big sister woke up! These really were so much fun (love the one of my niece staring at herself in the mirror – ADORABLE!) And the two of them together, just precious. We sang a lot of Sophia the First songs and were able to capture some sweet memories.

According to Mom…

What was the first thing you thought when you saw your baby for the first time? That she was perfect!

What was your favorite part of the session? I loved that we didn’t have to worry about going anywhere, that took part of the pressure off of us, especially with a two year old at home as well. We could change their outfits easily and my two year old could take a nap when she was done with her part. I also love that the colors of everything go so well hanging on the wall.

How was your experience having your newborn photographed? Were you worried or nervous before? It was a great experience. We got to show off our new baby and just enjoy how sweet and cute she is right now. I was nervous she might not sleep or we couldn’t get the shots we wanted, but it turned out well. Becky was really patient and helpful and knew how to get her to do what we wanted.

What would be your advice to someone getting newborn photographs taken? Just to relax and have fun and just get the shots you can get. The kids make the rules of the pictures, but you’ll get some beautiful pictures!

Did you have a sentimental item at our session? We had a christening gown that my mother, aunt, sister, eldest daughter, cousin and I have all worn. She was the seventh girl in our family to wear it. It is about 50 years old and has so much history and memories in our family.

How did big sister react to the baby?  She loves her sister, but doesn’t have a lot to do with her. She likes to look at her and rub her head sometimes, but is into her own things right now. When she first came to meet her in the hospital she asked if she could pet her new sister.

How would your describe your perfect Saturday as a family? Quiet, at home just spending time in the same room.

Any advice for other families picking out wardrobe? Just feel comfortable and even simple things look really cute on little ones.
