How sweet is this daddy daughter image at sunset? LOVE IT! This was from our session last Friday, and this little one came all the way from Cary to Wake Forest (my favorite park, especially at sunset!) for her 6 month portraits. The weather was just perfect Friday (Not looking forward to the weather tomorrow although now it’s looking more like rain and not snow! I don’t think I can take anymore snow!) Can’t wait to share the rest of the images from this sweet little one with her mama and daddy! You know I love pretty sunset images and such a sweet family, too!

This was such a fun weekend with three 6 month olds! Stay tuned – more sweet baby previews to come!

This was my first newborn session after my maternity leave and what a sweet session it was of this family of three (plus their sweet little puppy! He was just so cute looking out the window when I arrived) This sweet little one’s nursery was just so pretty – his mama picked such a great room for him and I love that we were able to capture images in a few rooms in the house and then some of just him. He is so loved and was just so content for his newborn portraits at home. Every newborn session is so different and so special to have taken at your home. It takes away a lot of the stress of trying to get ready and go somewhere when you have a newborn, too. I love that he was alert when I arrived and we were able to capture some content awake images and some sleepy ones, too. Love that we were also able to take a few with his daddy’s baseball jersey – so sweet!

The weather was just so beautiful and perfect when we met Saturday for this sweet little one’s 9 month portraits. I feel like I have blinked since we took these sweet images before she was even born. She is such a joy to her family and oh, the sweetest thing ever is her face when she sees her big sister – she just lights up! It is the cutest thing – no one can make her smile and laugh like her big sister. (I can’t wait to see how Harrison and Owen interact together!) We were also able to capture so many sweet mommy baby images so I just had to post one has a preview. Can’t believe at our next session she will be a year old – Time has flown by!

I LOVE Adoption Announcements! I also love, love, love family portraits when they bring their babies home. Don’t you love the cute chalkboard they brought to announce their adoption? We met on a bright, beautiful day in Wake Forest to celebrate and document the adventure ahead of them. These two are just so sweet and we totally laughed the entire time. They have so much fun together – he really knows how to make her laugh! I love that we were able to capture that in these images – fun and happy, announcing their adoption! What I love about documenting the process is that their little one will know just how loved they were right from the beginning before they even met. Such a joy to capture the beginning & the happy endings –  So excited for these two!

I love the milestone mini sessions because it’s so great to see how the babies grow & change over the first year. We just took her newborn portraits a few months ago – my last newborn session before my little boy was born. This sweet little one was just so bright eyed and awake for her sweet three month session at home. I always love sessions at home and just love this sweet image with her mama. She dozed off for a minute while being rocked by her mama but was really interested in the camera and everything going on – such a sweetheart. Looking forward to photographing the rest of her first year and a few sessions with her big brother, too!
