Last week I attended the Seniorologie Shoot Out in Charleston, SC. It was sooooooo much fun and you know I love Charleston. (Michael proposed there at the Battery) We also got to catch up with some good friends while we were there, eat on the water, and of course, a carriage ride.

It was a great day of shooting at the Inn at Middleton Place – such a gorgeous location with beautiful trees and so many different backgrounds. While we were there, we photographed some clothes for Ellen and Ollie. Wow, such beautiful dresses and you can check out their website to see where you can find them. I will be sharing the rest of the day soon, but couldn’t wait to share these gorgeous dresses! Hair and makeup by Kelsie Boles.

If you’re feeling blue, this preview from our newborn session today is sure to cheer you up! Don’t you just love the gorgeous blue blankets his mama had for him? What a cutie, and I just loved his hair – so handsome. He was just so content, and we were able to capture so many of this little one with his mommy and daddy and some sweet, simple portraits of just him. Can’t wait to share all of them in a few weeks!

I got to visit this little one at her new house – wow what a dreamy place to live. Everywhere I turned there were such neat details – I could have really shot their all day. Their house would be a perfect photography studio – great backdrops and plenty of light. Pretty light streaming in the windows everywhere I turned. And this little cutie was full of smiles – especially with her favorite toys and bubbles.  It was fun to capture a few of her on her snack break, too. Sometimes we have to stop for those during sessions because we want everyone to be happy. (and I’m totally not happy when I’m hungry so I get it) She was just so content to play with her toys and laugh at her mommy and daddy, love all the images we were able to capture of the three of them.

Love the sweet simplicity of this newborn preview from yesterday. This little one was just so precious and I love all the images we were able to capture of her and her family! Can’t wait to share all of them! It’s such a busy time of year for newborn sessions, and I’m looking forward to meeting a lot of new babies before going on maternity leave. I have one more spot available for a newborn session this fall – contact me if you would like to book a newborn session. I will be taking a limited number of sessions in December and will be on Maternity Leave January –  Mid March.

A little update on the Fall Bucket List.. We have definitely been in full fall mode over here. Owen even brought little fall crafts along for the trip to Charleston. (Michael was so sweet helping him decorate felt pumpkins) We’ve picked up a little pumpkin at the grocery store – it’s just too cute, but we have yet to get our big pumpkin yet. One tradition we started last year was going apple picking. What a sweet time we had – he was just so happy with his little basket looking for apples in the trees. Probably the best part is the apple treats at the end – apple slushies, apple cake, and well, apples. (The apple cake was AMAZING!)

A Few Goals for October to continue the Fall Bucket List:

* Make Caramel Apples (with sprinkles! Another tradition of ours)

* Take a trip to Hill Ridge Farms to pick out our pumpkin

* Finalize Owen’s Halloween costume. (He changes his mind every week! Sabrina from Neverland Nook and Allison from ALM Designs are working on a super cute idea for him that he will love!)

* Plan out our Christmas card before things get too hectic!

* Try to get as much done as possible with organizing the nursery before I get too big and miserable

* Print our album for the first part of 2013 and blog some of the ways I organize, print, display our photos

* Try to stay current on blogging. (I have so many sessions yet to blog. I will be blogging like crazy the next month!)

Okay so I have a lot of goals for this month. I also need to get Owen signed up for the big brother class at Rex..I’m going to cry just thinking about it. And now, to eat more salad because that has been my biggest pregnancy craving so far.
