This was a morning session at my absolutely favorite park – this park is huge but I’m finding that this little spot is my absolute favorite in the mornings for pretty light and such a beautiful field. (You know I love a pretty field and pretty light! I also saw one of my favorite photographer friends at this exact spot when we arrived – great minds think alike. Totally off topic, but I’m also super excited that she’s going to photograph Owen meeting his brother. Yes – I’m going to start sobbing, and I already feel bad about the three pages I probably wrote for my Client Information Form.) It was so great to meet this family and their two adorable girls – the outfits their mama picked out for them were just beautiful!

Did you see this on facebook? Yes – this session was just that fun! These four are just so sweet together and have so much fun that the session just flew by. I think we were all amazed that it was already over. We had beautiful weather, there were still some pretty flowers (you know I love flowers!) left at the arboretum, and we were also able to take some photographs at the spot where they got married. I love how they brought their baseball and helmet and we were able to photograph so many fun images of this family laughing together..and aren’t they just the cutest brother and sister? Oh, and their mama made that quilt – how cool is that? (Um, yes I would love to know how to make quilts!) Such a beautiful quilt and sweet family – loved every image from this session!

Oh, this session was just so sweet – waiting on the arrival of their little baby girl! (She’s here now and Mama sent me a photo – she’s beautiful! So excited for them!) The weather that evening was just beautiful and the clouds – wow! I love the reflection in the lake of the clouds – gorgeous. This mama was just glowing and it was so sweet to capture the last days of just the three of them. Family Maternity sessions are just so special – I absolutely love the images of the three of us (and you know I’m getting so impatient waiting on our little one – I still have a few months šŸ™‚

Speaking of Maternity leave, sessions for 2013 are completely booked. I do have one Free Holiday Mini Session spot left. Oh my, his hair – don’t you just love it? And wow, this little one was just so sleepy and content for his newborn portraits. Their bedroom just had the prettiest light the entire time I was there (yay!) and the nursery too – this session was full of beautiful light and such a beautiful baby boy. And I love that his mama had a beautiful blue blanket to use for his session – just stunning and a perfect backdrop. I love how sweet and simply his newborn portraits capture the magic and sweet moments of the first weeks at home.

This has been such a busy and fun month meeting so many new babies. Ā This pregnancy has been so different because I am just over the moon excited about having another baby – just knowing the miracle that we will have soon. The first pregnancy can just be so scary and it’s been great this time knowing we are getting such a precious gift and not worrying as much about what it’s like to be a parent. Ok, I’m totally going to start bawling….every time “Everything Has Changed,” by Taylor Swift comes on the radio, I just lose it. Ā And, I really need to start looking for all the baby stuff and making sure I have it organized in the house – this little one will be here before I know it!

First year Mini Sessions are just so sweet – capturing the milestones. Oh, this little one’s smile is way too cute, and he is sooo happy with his mommy and daddy. When I arrived at their house, he was still taking his evening nap – he woke up so happy for some sunset portraits in the front yard. Ā So happy we had some pretty gorgeous light – when we met for his four month portraits, it started thundering and lightning soon after we arrived. I love the sweet little pumpkin and cutie dinosaur costume his mama had for him – and he was just full of smiles – he loved them, too!

When you book a newborn session, you have the option of booking 1 -4 baby’s first year mini sessions. These include Mom, Dad, and the baby and you can also use one for a Mini Maternity Session. Contact me for more information about booking a first year session.
