This sweet little one was two weeks old the day of her newborn portraits, and wow, look at all that gorgeous hair! She was determined to be awake when I arrived but when she finally went to sleep, she was just so content and slept and slept the rest of the session. Such a sweetheart and I love all of the family images and images of just her and her sweet puppy that we were able to capture during this sweet newborn session at home. (How many times have I mentioned I LOVE newborn sessions at home!) Next week is a busy week of newborns, too! So excited – I love meeting new babies and you know I love, love, love newborn sessions at home!

This family session was just so super fun and their little ones – soooo cute and happy! Just had to share a preview with their sweet baby boy. Excited to be participating in another blog circle with some super talented photographer friends! This is the first month and the theme for this month is Real Life. I snapped this photo a few days ago at my mom and dad’s house – he just looked way too cute! This is him, laughing and being silly, and I love that it was just fun. He’s growing so fast – I can’t believe in a few months he will be four. I found I’ve been snapping more daily photos of him lately..sleeping, playing, just being him. He’s just such a great big brother, and I love these days of being a superhero on the playground. (I told him to go upstairs and put on some play clothes and that outfit is what he came up with. Of course you need your cape for the sandbox.) I’m so glad it’s spring so we can be outdoors more!

How beautiful is this sweet mama? I love the indoor portraits we were able to capture – just can’t wait to share all of them! She is just glowing, and I love that we were able to photograph her sweet baby bump before her little one arrives. We have been friends for sooooo long and even got to work in the same school for a year or two (I can’t remember!) when she first moved to Raleigh. (I used to be a second grade teacher..and taught a few other grades briefly but just LOVED second grade.) She is such a sweet friend and loved taking her maternity portraits today!
