Full of Smiles – Morrisville Cary Newborn Photography

I first met this sweet family for their Maternity portraits (see here), and it was so great to meet their precious little baby boy for his newborn portraits. He was as sweet as he could be and full of smiles for his portraits. I also loved Mom’s sign out front, so I had to include it in the post – so great for everyone who has little one’s napping and does not want someone to ring the doorbell and wake them up! And this little one was just so cute, he had definitely had a favorite blanket that put him right to sleep.

According to Mom….

What was the first thing you thought when you saw your baby for the first time? It was beyond love at first sight. I thought to myself “I’m the luckiest.”

What was your favorite part of the session? There are so many perks to having the newborn session at our home. It was a relaxed environment. I was able to include props, parts of the nursery, and our pets in the pictures. It’s also nice to have the session at home in case baby needed to eat, be changed, or take a quick nap:)

How did you prepare baby for our photoshoot? Just a bath and wrapped him in his favorite blankets!

How was your experience having your newborn photographed? Were you nervous or worried before? It was a wonderful experience, Becky is so patient and fun to work with. I was nervous that the baby’s schedule wouldn’t coincide ideally with the photo session time…. And it didn’t:)but Becky stuck around longer than expected and worked around baby’s schedule.

What would be your advice to someone getting newborn photographs taken? We are so glad we did it, this is the happiest time in our lives and now we have professional photographs to share with family and friends.

Did you have a sentimental item at your session? I bought the blue booties and the little beige stuffed animal while in Asheville, NC with my mom and sister. I didn’t yet know the gender but I wanted to buy something for him during our special girls trip.

Was there a sentimental item in your nursery or parts of your nursery that we photographed that were special to you? I made the sign “You are our greatest adventure” because he truly is. My husband and I went through 3 rounds of IVF to get here. We feel so lucky that God chose us to be his parents.

How would you describe your perfect Saturday as a family? Spending quality time at home right now is my favorite thing to do. We have family and friends stop by to visit, hang out in the backyard and cook dinner on the grill.
