Wake Forest Raleigh Newborn Photographer – The Day It Poured

So the day of this newborn session it poured. I mean – completely crazy pouring down rain. It was a super dark day with all the rain, and it’s not secret that I love dark days for newborn sessions just as much as sunny ones. I love the beautiful moody light on rainy days.  This session is beautiful in color, but wow, do I love the black and white images, too. This session was just so sweet – capturing the love they have for their baby girl. And, wow, she is just beautiful and such a content little one. We also discovered that the dad had just met my brother in SC while traveling for work a few weeks before the session. (Small world!)

Love that we were able to photograph her nursery, and it was most important to mom that we got some great family portraits. Love all of the sweet family images, especially that we got a few with the blanket that great great grandma made. It’s just so special to have newborn portraits at home – in your space surrounded by what has meaning to you.
