It’s been a busy summer and I haven’t shared as many everyday images. I have a few everyday posts for the next few weeks! These are from a sweet evening at the RDU observation park. Owen was absolutely thrilled with watching the airplanes (you can see him just staring in awe) and squealed when he saw the pictures. The park is such a fun spot – it even has a little playground and picnic tables and you can hear the pilots talking! Too cool!

The morning of his birthday he woke up to a room filled with balloons which thrilled him! (Thank you Pinterest for all the great ideas!)

The water table was a huge hit. If you have a two year old, I highly recommend a water table – he LOVES it! He also had a little bit of birthday cupcake, mostly two bites because he just wanted to play with his new table. We then went to The Pit to celebrate with a birthday lunch, and Owen cleaned his plate!

The wagon was a huge hit! I think the boys spent 2/3 of the party riding around in the wagon.

His birthday party was so much fun! The little ones spent an afternoon at the park swinging, going down the slide, riding in the wagon, playing in the sandbox, and eating pizza, cake, and cupcakes! Owen was so happy to see all of his friends!

Wow – I can’t believe I’ve been working on my everyday project for 12 weeks. It has been so much fun and I’ve enjoyed capturing these everyday moments. This past week we went to the beach. (Yes, in the tropical storm) The rain didn’t last too long and we were able to be back on the beach Tuesday evening.

He wore his rain boots during the tropical storm. You may remember them from this post. He LOVES his boots and had fun stomping around in them all morning.

We had such a great time – He enjoys the beach so much. He loves digging with his shovel, playing with his trucks, and looking for seashells.

The day before my birthday, my sweet boy and I headed out to pick some strawberries. It was super quiet in the strawberry field, and he just had a blast running and picking strawberries. t was surprised that he only ate one strawberry. He had more fun looking for strawberries and screaming his favorite phrase at the moment, “There it is!”  Vollmer Farm is such a great place, and we had to eat some of their delicious ice cream before we left. P I N this to pinterestP I N this to pinterestP I N this to pinterestP I N this to pinterestP I N this to pinterestP I N this to pinterestP I N this to pinterestP I N this to pinterest

And of course, on my birthday, we had to make this roasted strawberry, brie and chocolate grilled cheese with our strawberries. We borrowed The Little Mouse, The Red Ripe Strawberry, and the Big Hungry Bear from a friend which was a big hit with Owen.

On Mother’s Day Eve we headed out to North Hills and Owen just loved running around and playing. See more mother’s day pictures here.
