Booking for Fall+Holiday Minis
Raleigh Fall Family Mini Sessions
From our 2016 Fall Minis
Booking for our 2017 Fall + Holiday Minis starts this Wednesday evening. We are so excited about all of our minis with Little Apple Styles! Booking will be opened up to the e-mail list first, so if you aren’t on the email list, sign up here! These go quick, and will be super cute + styled! These are a few examples from last year’s minis. Don’t miss all the cuteness for this year’s minis! Set an alarm on your phone so you remember to check your email at 8PM Wednesday.
How do our minis work? We will be sending out all dates, prices, and information in our email so you can have as much information as possible about who are minis are for (Is it a family mini or just the kids) how much it is, location area, and time. Ericka and I have been working together for a long time now, and you won’t believe how long even 5 minutes can be when photographing just the kids. You can read over all the different time/price/how many people options and decide what works for your family, budget + don’t forget, your Christmas Card. I know, I’m talking about Christmas cards in July, but how nice to go ahead and have your yearly photo planned + done, with a fun editorial image to boot. We strive to make our sessions unique, styled, and just plain fun – something we aren’t going to do for every session, but something we can plan for our minis. We spend a lot of time scouting locations, searching for props, and dreaming up ideas just for you.

If ya’ll know me, you know I am all about the light. (Do I say this enough? Probably too much)It’s 100% the most important part of any portrait..and I am always looking at the light, how it’s changing, where it is. So when I show up to photograph something, I have a million goals, but #1 is to have everyone in the best most beautiful light. If you’ve ever been around baby lambs, they can be super bouncy and jumpy, (this youtube is an example)it’s really quite adorable. (except when poor Ericka is running to catch one and bring it back, hahahaha. She might not think it’s so adorable. Our baby lamb became a runner during this year’s set of baby lamb minis!) So really they ran the show, I laughed until I cried, rolled in the grass (like major grass everywhere all over me) and we followed them around wherever they went and my light obssession OCD just had to go along for the ride. I’ve never been able to bottle feed a lamb, and the kids LOVED it. So many giggles! The photographer in me had some glass bottles from a few years ago when Ericka and I thought we were going to have a baby lamb for a session that would be bottle feeding. Of course, these lambs were like no way, give us back our bottles! ha! The kids loved feeding the sheep and the llamas, who were super friendly. What a beautiful farm and so well taken care of. Many memories made this evening, and super thankful for a dear friend of mine who opened up their home. (And isn’t her little boy just the cutest. How adorable is the photo of him with his sheep? So incredibly sweet!)

You are going to laugh at me but I have been sitting in the same spot editing for years. YEARS. I haven’t moved or needed to, because, well, it was perfect. Then, something happened this week. When I got back from the beach, there was no air conditioning upstairs. None. It was like a million degrees up there, and the boys and I had to camp downstairs, which was a little bit fun. All this being said, I had to set up shop somewhere else, and I LOVE IT. Like, I’m not going to move back upstairs. Isn’t this funny? Here I thought I had everything figured out in my house as to where the best place to edit was, and Boom, change of heart. Because I’ve been seeing all these Hygge posts lately, and it just makes you want to make everything extra cozy, right? Add on the fact that I love listening to Sally Clarkson, so lots of inspiration for a cozy home. So, now I’m sitting + blogging in my new cozy spot and just loving it. I am not going back upstairs – all my stuff is staying right here.
So I first met this sweet girl a year ago, and their puppy, oh my, is the sweetest. I rarely photograph one year olds that are walking yet, but this little one was running all over the place. Her mama was running all over to catch her, and the cuteness was overwhelming. I love that she brought her balloons from her birthday party, and she was just so bubbly and friendly, waving at everyone along the way. So much cuteness to share from her one year portraits.

These sweet boys together – oh my, the cutest! Big brother spent a lot of time snuggling his Mommy + Daddy during this sweet newborn session at home. I first met them not too long ago at his own newborn portrait session so we already knew the spots in their house with the best light. They have a few great spots around the house so we were able to get a few different backgrounds, which is always great during a session. Since we had already had a session at their home, these two were pros and already had all the blinds up. It’s funny how you never realize that some rooms have a lot of light because you just never raise the blinds in those rooms. It’s amazing what opening the blinds can do! So great to see this sweet family again and to be able to photograph their boys together! I looooove photographing siblings together, it is the sweetest!
We just got back from a week at the beach! (which means Coastal Minis!) but we are just about to release our fall mini dates next week! Ericka and I have been working hard (mostly Ericka!) on scouting locations and coming up with some super fun creative ideas for our fall family minis + holiday minis. We will be releasing all of our information to the newsletter list, first, so if you aren’t on our newsletter, click here to sign up to get all of the information. We are going to have a few different options for fall minis this year, and it’s going to be a super busy fall!
