This month we went on a much needed family vacation. Owen woke up every morning asking for his truck and the beach. As part of my September goals, I did read a book, visit cappuccino by the sea a few times, and we built sandcastles almost everyday.

We went on a picnic by the waterway to watch the boats, which Owen really loved. Someone on the pier caught a flounder and Owen thought he was going to take it home with him.

He had to wear his boat shoes everyday.(No sandals, Mommy, BOAT SHOES!)

Our trip to the pier. We did walk all the way to the end and Owen was looking for sharks.

I got this little suit at Uptown kids when he was a tiny baby and I figured he was going to grow out of it if we didn’t take some pictures soon!

It’s been a busy summer and I haven’t shared as many everyday images. I have a few everyday posts for the next few weeks! These are from a sweet evening at the RDU observation park. Owen was absolutely thrilled with watching the airplanes (you can see him just staring in awe) and squealed when he saw the pictures. The park is such a fun spot – it even has a little playground and picnic tables and you can hear the pilots talking! Too cool!

Be prepared – this post has a lot of pictures! Grace’s session was so much fun and we just kept finding all kinds of great backgrounds. When we were downtown, we’d barely walk two feet before we found somewhere else to stop and take pictures. Both days we ran into weddings, and we also ran in the street while the Raleigh trolley dropped off a wedding party. Grace is beautiful inside and out and she totally rocked out her senior portraits!

What a fun session this family had planned! It was a perfect spot for a fun urban photoshoot. This sweet 7 month old was just as content as can be and how cool to have pictures taken with his daddy’s firefighter gear!
