I can’t believe it’s been a year since this sweet baby boy’s newborn portraits. He’s gotten so big and just how cute are him & his sister together?!? Love the outfits their mama picked out for them! This was still near the time when it was 102 outside, so we were glad the weather that morning stayed on the cooler side – We even saw a beautiful butterfly!

Who are the members of your family photographed and tell me a quick fact about each one! Eva “Saige” – 2.5 years and Michael Ayson “Ace” – 1 year
Where was your session location? At our home – all of our family photos have been done at home.
What was your favorite part of the session? My favorite part was when Saige was playing in Becky’s hair during the session. So funny. Becky is very personable and it made our session go very smoothly.
Tell me about the outfits you wore to the session – I chose denim, white, beige for our session. I purchased a 1 year birthday outfit from Amazon for my son and I just went with that color scheme for my daughter and I as well. The outfit my daughter is wearing was also purchased from Amazon. After I purchased it and it shipped, I read the reviews on the outfit and the reviews were terrible. After reading the reviews , I wasn’t expecting it to arrive on time, be way too small, and not look anything like the photo on Amazon. But, to my surprise, it arrived well before our session and I was able to spruce it up a bit to make it look cute. The white jeans I wore are from gap and the shirt from Forever 21.
What are some words of wisdom you have for other mamas preparing for a photo session? Just relax. Don’t overthink it. It never goes as visioned or as planned, but the prints will still exceed your expectations.
Were you worried about any parts of the session beforehand? I was worried about the weather. We did the session outdoors and it was suppose to reach 100 that day. We started the session around 8:30am, and other than my hair becoming a poof ball, the weather wasn’t an issue at all.
Did you bring any of your little ones’ favorites to the session? My son’s favorite toys are balls. We had a balloon for him to play with. My daughter’s favorite is people. Since Becky is so pleasant, Saige enjoyed the session as well.
What dreams do you dream for your little ones? I wish they find peace an joy in life. I pray they learn to cherish and enjoy the little things, because when they look back, it’s those little experiences that mean the most.
